Since 1999, Carolina Parenting Inc. has honored an elite group of North Carolina businesses annually that value the balance of family and work for employees. We've had so many nominees and seen such great examples of family-friendly workplaces that we increased it from 40 companies to 50 with last year's group in 2009. Companies are lauded in the September issues of our magazines, on our Web sites, in press releases and at local events. They use the award for recruiting, for company synopses and to align themselves with other high-profile companies that have reputations for offering the best to their employees. We are beginning our nomination process for the companies to be honored in 2010.
