AASTC is a week-long summer camp for kids ages 7-15. It is hosted on four college campuses across NC and VA. Campers take fun, interesting classes that incorporate art, science and technology. They also participate in recreation, citizenship and evening entertainment. Class sizes are small, so your child gets more personal attention. Our exciting curriculum is divided into two age groups: 2nd-5th grades and 6th grade and up. The activities are designed to appeal to each age group and optimize the learning experience.

YMCA Camp Harrison at Herring Ridge is located on a spectacular tract of land in the Brushy Mountains of N.C. located between Lenoir and N. Wilkesboro just 90 minutes from Charlotte. There are more than 2,000 acres of woods, streams, and trails centered around private, 140-acre Lake Broyhill.

Campers experience swimming in the pool and a variety of lake activities including: kayaking, canoeing, water zip line, waterskiing, the "Blob" and the "Wet Willie." They also can choose from more than 21 land activities including horseback riding, ropes course, sports and crafts. This year, campers also have the option to participate in the new Dude Ranch, where they are sure to have a new adventure every day. They'll even get to visit the new Tee Pee Village! Activities are designed to provide campers with an exciting and safe experience. American Camping Association-accredited and a 4:1 camper to counselor ratio promotes an environment that helps children grow in spirit, mind and body.

Founded on the YMCA's Christian values, Camp Harrison is positioned to give campers an amazing summer experience whether it's their first time away from home or they have been camping for years.

A Springboard to Success! Camp Spring Creek is a residential program exclusively for children with dyslexia, ages 6 to 14. Children become better learners, discover natural talents, gain self-confidence and develop independence while building lasting friendships.
