Once you've come to terms with the fact your teen is driving, it's great to let them have that independence, and not be shuttling them to and from every practice and social engagement. But you can't do without your car! Whether you're looking to buy a neighbor's or looking on used car lots, here are some tips. |
Buying a used car? Have your family mechanic check out the car first, it's a good way to keep from getting stranded on the side of the road.
Don't get your heart set on a specific make and model. It pays to be open minded, especially when you're strolling through used car lots.
Fascinated by CarMax's no haggle price? Turns out a lot of "pre-owned" cars on other car lots are the same.
Check into financing. You might get a better interest rate through your bank or credit union than you do at the car lot.
Once you've found the car you like, be sure to check the CarFax!
