Valentine Friends - Books & Babies Story Time | Feb. 8
Central Library, 219 N Church St., Greensboro. 9:30-10 a.m. FREE. Babies up to 18 months and their parents or care-givers for simple books, songs, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning.


Mushy Gushy Valentine Makerspace | Feb. 8
Kathleen Clay Edwards Library, 1420 Price Park Road, Greensboro. 4-5 p.m. FREE. We will have plenty of supplies - and of course, glitter - on hand to make sure you create the perfect card for your Valentine. We will enjoy a sweet treat while we design. Grades K-5.


Friendship Bracelet Valentine Craft | Feb. 8
Central Library, 219 N Church St., Greensboro. 4- 5 p.m. FREE. Practice knots with colorful thread while making a friendship bracelet with Miss Regina. This program is for school-age children.


Valentine Friends - Preschool Storytime at Central Library | Feb. 8
Central Library, 219 N Church St., Greensboro. 10:30 am. FREE. Children from ages birth to 5, along with their parents or care givers, are invited for simple books, songs, hand rhymes, felt-board stories and fun-filled learning.


Valentine Concert | Feb. 9
Centenary United Methodist Church, 646 W. 5th Street, Winston-Salem. 5:30-6 p.m. FREE. 336-922-4073. UPBEAT! will present a Valentine Concert. UPBEAT!, is the training choir of the Winston-Salem Girls Chorus and consists of girl singers from the 2nd - 4th grades. Come and be inspired as they share their music. The concert is free and open to the public.


Daddy and Daughter Valentine’s Dance | Feb. 10
Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem, 390 S. Liberty St., Winston-Salem. 6-8 p.m. $10/member, $12/non-member. 336-723-9111. Pizza dinner, craft, cookie decorating, story time and dancing. Hearts & Arrows Photography will photograph you and your little girl and email it to you after the event. (Printed portraits and high resolution electronic copies also available for purchase on site.) Pre-registration required for children and adults.


Parents’ Night Out | Feb. 11
SciWorks, 400 W. Hanes Mill Road, Winston-Salem. 5:30-9:30 pm. Fee: $20/child in advance (register by 2/8); $25 at the door. 336-767-6730. Enjoy a Valentine’s date night! Kids (ages 4-11) will receive a pizza dinner, museum exploration time and an age-appropriate movie. Call to register.


Daddy Daughter Sweetheart Dance | Feb. 11
Morehead Recreation Center, 101 Price St. High Point. 5-7 p.m. $15 per couple and $5 per each additional daughter. For ages 4-12. This will be a moment fathers will treasure for the rest of their lives and a very special night for daughters, as they dance to popular music with their father and friends. This semi-formal event will include an evening of dancing, refreshments, drinks, and a photo of the couple. Daughter may be accompanied by an uncle, grandfather, brother or a male guardian.


Valentine Card Making | Feb. 11
Children’s Museum of Winston-Salem, 390 S. Liberty St., Winston-Salem. 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission fee or membership required. Drop-in. Make valentines for your loved ones in the Art Studio.


Valentine’s Day Dance | Feb. 12
Trinity Church, 5200 W. Friendly Ave., Greensboro. 6-8 p.m. FREE, but donations accepted. The Greensboro Big Band performs at its annual Sweet Sounds Valentine’s Day dance and concert. For more information, contact the Music Center at 336-373-2549.


Anti-Valentine’s Day Party for Teens | Feb. 12
Glenwood Branch Library, 1901 W. Florida Street, Greensboro. 3-4:15 p.m. FREE. Be a Heart Breaker, not the broken hearted. Join us for an afternoon of Anti-Valentine’s Day celebration with design your own Love Bites! cookies and Heart Breaker treats. Craft a horribly cute voodoo doll pin cushion or Grumpy Cat pin to wear. This is a Teen Program for ages 11-17.


Teen DIY Valentines | Feb. 13
Central Library, 219 North Church St., Greensboro. 3-4 p.m. FREE. Why buy valentines when you can make them? These are not your usual valentines. Use paper, chocolates, stones, water bottles and action figures to make unique and unusual valentines. This program is for ages 12-18. Valentine’s Day Party | Feb. 14
Central Library, 219 N Church St., Greensboro. 4-5 p.m. FREE. Cupid comes but once a year. We’ll enjoy tasty treats while composing love poems on heart-shaped paper airplanes. We’ll also make a fun, heart-shaped stress ball. This program is for all ages.


Valentine’s Day Life-Sized Candy Land | Feb. 14
Glenn McNairy Branch, 4860 Lake Jeanette Road, Greensboro. 3:30 pm. FREE. Enjoy a life-sized Candy Land game board in celebration of Valentine’s Day. Drop in to play this family favorite. All ages are welcome.


Angel Bear Yoga: Valentine’s Day | Feb. 14
