Teacher Appreciation Day at the Greensboro Science Center

On Saturday, May 6,  teachers are invited to visit the Greensboro Science Center (GSC) for free in celebration of Teacher Appreciation Day. Teachers, administrators or district staff members that work for any public, private or homeschool for grades pre-K through college can sign in at the GSC's welcome desk and show their teacher ID and photo ID to redeem free general admission.

Teachers will have the opportunity to explore the aquarium, museum and zoo for the day as well as participate in some free special activities, including:

  • Samples of science presentations typically only offered to field trips.
  • Animal meet-and-greet experiences.
  • Chances to win prizes.
  • Free previews of OmniSphere Theater shows typically only offered to field trips.

Teachers will also be offered a 20 percent discount in the TriceraShop gift shop. In addition, participating teachers' guests will receive a discounted admission rate of $11.50 per person.
