Fans of the 1964 stop-motion animated TV classic will enjoy this touring musical stage adaption that stops in Winston-Salem on Dec. 1, just in time for the holidays. “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical” tells the story of the world’s most famous reindeer as he helps Santa save Christmas along with a jolly cast including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius and the Abominable Snow Monster. This touring production will visit more than 50 cities and has partnered with PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center again this year. A new illustrated storybook, “T.E.A.M. Rudolph and the Reindeer Games,” will be sold at the show, which will take place in Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum at 7 p.m. A portion of the proceeds from book sales will be donated to PACER.

The high-energy musical is a little different than the well-known TV special, and the audience will enjoy a variety of full-length songs against a backdrop of nostalgic sets.

Tickets are $19.50, $29.50, $39.50 and $49.50. For more information, visit or
