On Monday, August 8, the City of Greensboro and Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc. will hold a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony. The event is planned as the official opening ceremony for the much-anticipated LeBauer Park.

The park is located across Davie Street from Center City Park and fills the block between Davie and Church Streets. It is framed by the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center, Central Public Library and the Greensboro Historical Museum.

After the event, LeBauer park will be open to the community. Special entertainment, classes and additional celebrations will be held throughout the week. Greensboro's Center City Cinema will make its 2016 debut in LeBauer Park. Movies in the park will be planned for August and September.

The parks are available for residents to enjoy thanks to contributions from local foundations, businesses, organizations, individuals and the State of North Carolina. The City of Greensboro provides significant resources to maintain the parks, which are managed by Greensboro Downtown Parks, Inc. A list of rules governing the use of both LeBauer and Center City parks can be found online.
