Dice, cards, play money, pizza, popcorn and fun – what do they all have in common? That’s what visitors to the High Point Museum can expect on Friday, Feb. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. with its Family Game Night. This coincides with the museum’s mini exhibit on games, on display until Feb. 25.

This fun evening will be full of classic card and board games along with scavenger hunts and Pokémon Go. Lots of activities are planned for this event including High Point trivia, photo booth, music and prizes.

One of the highlights of the event will be playing “The Challenge High Point” game from the 1980s. It is a Monopoly-style game where players buy and sale property to gain wealth. It features local businesses and attractions.

“This will be a fun evening for families to spend time together, learn a little High Point history, and maybe even make some new friends,” Edith Brady, museum director, said.

This free event is for children of all ages. Light refreshments including pizza and popcorn will be available.
