The Marine Science Program is the heart of Seacamp. Young scientists participate in a variety of 21-hr courses offerings under the guidance of academically trained marine science instructors. Sailing and windsurfing classes familiarize campers with the winds, tides and currents.Canoeing and kayaking classes explore the natural resources of the Coupon Bight Aquatic Preserve. Certification in American Red Cross Lifeguarding is also available. Seacamp also offers several courses in SCUBAdiving to qualified participants.Conservation practices and a respect for the marine environment are at the core of theSeacamp philosophy: For all the sea has to teach us and all the fun in learning it.Seacamp is proudly accredited by the American Camp Association.
