Salem Academy Theatre presents "A Midsummer Night’s Dream," which involves fairies, swordplay, magic, and even a donkey. This enchanted story takes us into the woods where two sets of lovers chase each other, winding up in the hands of an impish fairy named Puck. While in the woods, a merry band of actors rehearses a play, also becoming part of Puck’s plans. The queen of the fairies falls in love with one of the actors, who sports a donkey’s head, thanks to Puck’s mischievous magic. The lovers become thoroughly mixed up. Who loves whom? Will they ever sort out this magical mess?
No reservations or tickets. Doors will open 30 minutes before each performance for open seating.
Friday and Saturday at 7:30 pm; Sunday at 2 p.m.
