Forums

As parents, we don't have the luxury of time to go out and join support groups, or even just have long conversations with old friends. But the need for that one-on-one communication, and feedback from our peers is more important than ever for those of us dealing with raising children. Online forums are a great way to be a part of a community where you are free to vent frustrations, ask questions and find others facing the same issues as you. And best of all, you can jump on these online communities whenever and wherever it is convenient for you!

PiedmontParent.com has partnered with TriadMommies.com, a local resource, to bring you access to an online community in your area. You might also enjoy checking out some other forums and will quickly find yourself drawn to the many different topics being discussed daily.

TriadMommies.com. A local online community that opens up discussions on all aspects of parenting, as well as organizing some get-togethers.

Second Wives Cafe. Made up entirely of people dealing with blended family issues, whether you're a step mom, a single mother or a wife of a widower. This is a great place to visit to find out that you're not alone in the challenges of step-family life!

Dadstayshome.com. Stay-at-home dads need networks as much as moms do, and even though many of the parenting issues are similar, it's nice to have someone who understands where you're coming from to discuss things with. Check out this site for everything from discussions on napping and potty training theories to home improvement help and techno talk.
