"High Point’s Furniture Heritage."

Summary: This interactive exhibit will feature furniture, machinery, photographs, memorabilia and video. The exhibit will examine the history of the relationship between the furniture industry and the people of High Point and will offer a unique perspective on the history of furniture manufacturing in our area. "Little Women."

"William Christenberry: Photographs, 1961-2005."

Summary: William Christenberry's work records the passage of time in a Southern landscape that is both ordinary and iconic. His photographs convey the poignance of an abandoned building, a lonely gravestone, and an empty dirt road. The most astonishing aspect of the artist's work is that it often does not include people but always speaks volumes about a human presence. Runs through June 27. “What’s Your Story...Get the Message.”

Summary: Send a message in Morse code, become a TV news anchor, create virtual cave art, and puzzle over expressions at a new interactive exhibition about communication. "What's Your Story… Get the Message” is a 2,000 square foot exhibition consisting of 15 different exhibits that encourage visitors to explore the many ways we send and receive information. Families can use touch screen technology to put themselves on the cover of a virtual newspaper, create their own cave paintings, and play a game to match images to specific warning sounds. Visitors can also learn American Sign Language, transmit an image via a satellite model, and use a large crane to lift a load they can’t see while receiving hand signal instructions.
